February is the carnival (carnivale) period in Italy. Today Enrico made Italian carnival cookies "sfrappole" (crispy fried cookies, traditional carnival sweet, made of strips of sweet dough fried and then sprinkled with powdered sugar). I found a sample recipe on the Internet (this is not the one that Enrico followed though).
